The Power of Breath

The one system in your body you have both conscious and unconscious control over is your breath.

Let’s keep it simple:

  • Slow, deep breaths activate your parasympathetic nervous system — helping you calm down, slow your heart rate, and relax your mind and body.

  • Fast, intense breaths activate your sympathetic nervous system — raising your energy, increasing your heart rate, and helping release stuck emotions and tension.

In a guided breathwork session, we use both — to calm, awaken, and bring balance to your whole system.

What To Expect In My Breathwork Session

I teach a combination of both grounding and activating breaths:

  • Pranayama, Qi Gong-inspired movement, and Tibetan breathing techniques

  • Guided intuitively, but always with the intention to support your nervous system

  • Designed to help you release emotional blocks, relax your body, and energize your system in a safe, conscious way

This part of the session is about clearing space — mentally, emotionally, and physically — so you can arrive more fully in your body and in the present moment.

Sound As Medicine

Breathwork is designed to help you access deeper states of meditation.

To elevate your meditation, I created a sound healing experience that deepens the journey — helping your body integrate the breathwork and your mind settle even further into stillness.

This part of the session features acoustic meditative instruments — including crystal bowls, the handpan, and other earth-inspired sounds — designed to guide you into deep relaxation.

The handpan is a unique melodic instrument known for its calming, hypnotic tones. It’s known to:

  • Reduce mental chatter and ease anxiety

  • Relax the nervous system

  • Help you drop into flow states of creativity and awareness

  • Support theta and delta brainwave states, ideal for deep meditation and rest

The sound healing portion of the session becomes a space of integration, receptivity, and restoration — where your system can fully let go and receive.
